BW Processing is getting worse by the roll. Scanning too. There is no hope.

Well, you DO know Friday night is silhouette night, right?

Mr. Vincent aka swallow_razors aka azh00m00nji aka turd! found himself in a Mouse on Mars show in Delhi one night. And he loved it.
So much, that he made me go, when they were playing in Mumbai on the 27th.

And I went.

The concert was held at Sophia College in Mumbai, with Medusa, a local electronic band opening for MoM.

Funnily, it seemed like 80% of the crowd was over the age of 50. I guess they assumed Goethe Institute + Musical Event = Western Classical or some such thing. But I do reckon they enjoyed it.

Coz I sure did!

My favourite track of the night was “Wipe that sound”, I found myself humming that track over and over again.

Medusa put on a good show too, Interesting sound; Electronic with stoner/sludge influences.

Well, pictures now, All photos shot with my canon 400d and my Arsat 85/2,8 Tilt Shift. No photoshopping at all except for the copyright dealey.

Ambient light was extremely low, so all I could get were silhouettes. Worked out decently though…

Yes, quite different from my usual posts.

Shreyans was erm.. Tenor-ing in the Paranjoti Academy Chorus, so I decided I might as well check the performance out.

Went with a couple of friends. We managed to get great seats, right up front. Of course, photography isn’t allowed… But I managed to shoot a few frames just after the Interval (between parts 1 and 2) and during the final applause.

Quite mediocre shots, especially since I forgot to switch the white balance in my hurry to shoot without being too obtrusive, what with the loud mirror and curtains of my 400d.

So… Handel’s Messiah

I actually thought I was going to be bored for the next two or so hours, but I was in for a surprise. Western classical isn’t as boring, live, with a symphony orchestra, and a chorus, and the soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Yeah…

It’s still funny though.

Also funny, the fact that most of the performers in the Symphony Orchestra of India are Khazak, yes, from Boratland!
